Visitors from around the world have made the music pilgrimage to visit the Norman Petty Recording Studios where rock ‘n’ roll history was made. Musical legends including Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison, Waylon Jennings recorded their early music just a stone’s throw away from Clovis Main Street, where Norman Petty perfected the legendary “Clovis Sound.”
Studio visitors will see equipment used by Buddy Holly and the Crickets, The Fireballs and many others, including the large dangling microphones, recording equipment, control board, clocks on the walls, original Coke machine and authentic 1950s furnishings. The curators have worked hard to keep the studio just as it was so that musical enthusiasts can relive the important rock and roll history.
